Lest We Forget

Bookmark and Share

November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the US. We try to be aware and grateful for our freedom often, but at this time of year it is difficult to forget. The poppies we wear are a constant reminder of the sacrifices that were made for each and every one of us. My children are free to be who they are and that is something I don't take for granted.

At 11:00 we will have a moment of silence to reflect and be grateful to the men and women who have sacrified their own freedom, their families, and their lives in order to give us freedom in ours. It is imperative that we not only recognize fallen soldiers, but also the soldiers that are fighting for the freedom and safety of those in other countries at this very moment.

Thank you to all the past, present, and future soldiers.
