♥ Fabulous Friday Finds That You Will Love (pun intended of course! :Þ) Just In Time For Valentine's Day! ♥

Bookmark and Share

Ahhh Amore! I love Friday's!

Just in time for Valentine's Day, I have a new blog crush. I have fallen in love with one of the best crafty blogs I have stumbled across in awhile. Crafts By Amanda. {♥swoon♥}

(Actually, who am I kidding, I *LOVE* all the crafty blogs I find because, well, I'm not all that creative when it comes to the crafts department in this house, so anyone out there who can help me look cool to my kids is awesome in my books! :D)

All Natural Families posted today on Facebook about this nifty little craft, that is totally cute! Who knew you could make something this fabulous and functional from Beanie Baby containers of all things?!?!

See this is why I love people like Amanda, because they see empty Beanie Baby containers and come up with something magnificent like beautiful holders for utensils. She makes utensils look cool and that takes talent in my not so humble opinion!

 (I see Beanie Baby containers and the first thing I think of is, "is the plastic recyclable?" but that is just me and my recycling neurosis. :Þ)

The picture above is a wider shot that shows the adorable utensil holders. And no, that is SO not my kitchen...anyone who knows me knows that my counters will never *ever* be that tidy and organized (think ADHD mom + 3 homeschooling kids = stuff everywhere).

Of course after taking my moment to have total kitchen counter envy, I had to check out the rest of her site. I mean, anyone who can make perfect utensil holders like that from plastic containers, has to have some more great ideas, and does she ever! {drool} Just in time for Valentine's Day I found her post that lists 31 beautiful and easy crafts you can whip up this weekend no problem. All 31 are kid friendly and even better, most are toddler friendly! Just click on the pictures below to go directly to her site for the super duper easy directions on how to make these cuties!

Those are just a few of my favourites, she has way more than just those 31 Valentine's crafts, but I have to stop gushing about her now 'cause I have other awesome things to share today, so make sure you go to her site: Crafts By Amanda - you can thank me later. ;o)

This morning I opened up our Significantly Simple email and found out that a fellow blogger, Angie from Hippie Heart: On The Off Beat, nominated us for "Stylish Blogger Award" :D :D Woohoo! We love awards here and knowing that people enjoy our blog!

I know for me it was such a nice surprise that lifted my spirits up when I needed it. Of course I had to zip over to her blog, to check it out too and it is hilarious!! OMG she is so funny, in that down to earth way that makes her real and relatable. :o) And not only that, she is a hippie chick like me with an obession for recycling and into all things relating to random acts of kindness (or RAOK's as she calls them, and I think I have to borrow that acronym from now on!) - it's like I've found a blogging kindred spirit! :D

I loved reading her recent post during the "Snowpocolypse" that gripped a good chunk of the USA in the last few weeks. Her simple RAOK (remember, RAOK = Random Act Of Kindness) for someone who had to work on a crappy, snowy night was a perfect example that little acts of kindness don't  have to be huge or complicated. Sometimes it is the simplest things that have the biggest impact.

Definitely check out Angie's blog, it's one of those uplifting humorous blogs that goes perfect in the morning with that first cup of coffee (or tea!) to start your day off on a positive, happy note.

Coming up next week....

On Monday, Heather and I are going to have a special Valentine's Day post and share the love with our fellow bloggers. We will be posting who we think the "Stylish Blogger Awards" should go to! It's not just one blog, it can be as many as we like! I have a few in mind that the award will definitely get passed on to, but feel free to comment here or on on our Facebook page to help us out. If you have other favourite blogs that you want to be recognized, by all means tell us!

Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting!

With love and light ♥,
